My name is Hillary LP Eason. I’m a designer and innovation strategist currently working at the US Department of Agriculture, where I lead a lab focused on creating a better customer experience for American farmers, ranchers, and foresters. I also work as an advisor and consultant with international donor organizations, social impact startups, nonprofits, and more.

I specialize in making “design thinking” accessible and useful and in helping organizations creating spaces where people can generate and test new ideas. I believe that everyone has the potential to be innovative, that boring usually wins over flashy, and that a good idea will work even if the power goes out. I’m proud to be a WOC working in this space, and strive to incorporate equity and justice in every aspect of my work.

I am currently based in Seattle, but I work all over the world; I’m fluent in English, professionally conversant in French, and can comfortably order dinner in Korean. If you’re interested in working with me on a proposal or project, send me an email or reach out via LinkedIn. I also tweet very sporadically @hillaryeason.
